Programme overview

A beginner to intermediate level qualification exploring types and styles of wines. For those wishing to learn about a wide range of wines, you will gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties from up to 70 wine regions in the world and the types and styles of wines produced. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.

Who is this course for?

WSET Level 2 is suitable for wine enthusiasts wishing to become more confident in their knowledge of wine and for industry professionals employed or seeking employment in restaurants, hotels and in wine retail and wholesale.


Course Delivery

WSET Level 2 online is based around a five-week, six-module, online programme with a recommendation of 6 hours study per week to cover the online activities and read the relevant chapters in the textbook. Regular access and participation in the course online activities is essential for this mode of study.

You will receive a physical study pack alongside this online course which you must read.

Final date for enrolment: Monday September 13th.

Assessment is by closed book exam of 30 multiple choice questions.

Classroom or Remote Invigilation Examinations can be organised depending on Covid – 19 restrictions at the time.
