Programme overview
As a busy person you understand the demands of the real world. The increasing demands placed on us personally and professionally affect our health and our business. What makes some people focus and perform better under pressure while others struggle? The answer is Resilience. This does not mean being hard. Resilience is a measure of your subconscious flexibility and what practical and psychological coping mechanisms you have access to.
Session overview
Many capable business owners, managers and professionals experience Imposter Syndrome even while appearing confident and in control.
In demanding restaurant and hospitality environments, imposter thoughts can influence behaviour through coping patterns such as overworking, perfectionism and procrastination. These patterns can affect confidence, judgement, workload and follow-through, particularly when the perceived cost of making the wrong decision is high.
This practical 60-minute session explores how Imposter Syndrome can influence the way people work and make decisions, and how the sustained effort involved in maintaining performance can develop into Hidden Cognitive Strain over time.
The session will also consider the wider organisational consequences, including disengagement and the risk of losing capable people who may appear to be coping well externally.
Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of these patterns, the cost they can create over time, and a practical way to recognise and interrupt them earlier.
